A notable figure appeared in the photos from the first day of Detroit Lions OTAs this week: head coach Dan Campbell was back in the den.
Campbell had missed the recent rookie minicamp and tryouts due to undisclosed personal reasons. The team did not officially comment on his absence, only stating that it was planned.
In addition to Campbell’s return on the first day of OTAs, which were closed to the media, nearly every Lions player attended the voluntary sessions at the team’s training facility in Allen Park.
