Semien was thrown out trying to stretch his hit into a triple, but the damage had been done. Despite efforts from hitters like Isbel and Hampson, the Royals couldn’t close the deficit.
Overall, Kansas City struggled offensively, managing just six hits and striking out twelve times, failing to capitalize on scoring opportunities throughout the game.
