Defensive line prospect Kendal Wall commits to BYU following official visit
On Monday night, Mountain Ridge High School standout Kendal Wall committed to the BYU football program. After his official visit to BYU’s campus last weekend and spending time with the coaching staff, Wall decided to finalize his recruitment. “When dreams become reality,” Wall shared on social media. “Home sweet home.”
Wall received an offer from BYU defensive line coaches Kelly Poppinga and Sione Po’uha after attending BYU’s summer camp, where he was named the defensive tackle MVP. Although recruiting services list Wall as a defensive end prospect, his 6’5″ frame could enable him to play inside in college if he adds sufficient weight.
Wall’s recruitment was just starting to gain momentum. He received his first offer from Washington State a little over a month ago, followed by an offer from San Jose State a few days later. The Cougars became the first Power 4 program to extend an offer after seeing him in person.
Wall is the sixth prospect to commit to BYU after last week’s official visit. He joins wide receiver LaMason Waller, tight end Tucker Kelleher, defensive lineman Cole Cogshell, athlete Ulavai Fetuli, and tight end Jackson Doman as the latest 2025 commitments.
Overall, Wall is the 13th commit of BYU’s 2025 class. The class also includes LaMason Waller, Cole Cogshell, Tyler Payne, Jackson Doman, Nolan Keeney, Blake Bryce, Cale Breslin, Ulavai Fetuli, Kelepi Vete, Tucker Kelleher, Sale Fano, and Will Walker.
