Brandon Williams, who is on loan from Manchester United, is updated by Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna
In an effort to get more consistent playing time, Man United defender Brandon Williams went on loan to Ipswich Town during the summer transfer window.
Brandon Williams, who is on loan from Manchester United, is eligible to play for Ipswich Town against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, according to manager Kieran McKenna.
Williams, who signed a season-long loan with the Tractor Boys in August, was sick and missed Swansea City’s 3-2 victory before the international break. He was noticeably missing from the Championship promotion hopefuls’ matchday roster as they extended their league winning streak to 12 games.
However, Williams is set to be part of McKenna’s plans for the trip to the Midlands as they get ready to resume their promotion charge at the Hawthorns on Saturday night.
“Brandon has been training well for the past two weeks,” McKenna told reporters on Thursday. “So again gives us good depth and another really good option for Saturday and for the games coming up.”
Williams, who had previously been on loan at Ipswich’s bitter rivals, Norwich City, has made 12 appearances for the team across all competitions since moving to Portman Road and has contributed two goals. On September 30, he scored in the Tractor Boys’ 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town, and the following weekend, in their 4-2 victory over Preston North End.
