The Denver Broncos have been hit hard by injuries, losing three starters since the season began. The Las Vegas Raiders are also dealing with several key injuries, with multiple stars sidelined.
Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, who was at the center of injury speculation, missed last week’s game due to a hamstring issue. Some have questioned whether his absence is a ploy to protect his trade value ahead of the November 5 NFL trade deadline. However, ESPN’s Dianna Russini reports that Adams’ injury is legitimate, and he is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Broncos.
“Teams discussing Davante Adams with the Raiders have been informed his hamstring injury will keep him out for 1-2 weeks. I’ve been told it’s a real injury. He’s expected to miss this week but could return next week if recovery goes smoothly,” Russini shared on X.
The Raiders could face another setback, as Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby missed Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle injury. According to The Athletic’s Tashan Reed, the injury kept Crosby out of Week 4, marking the first game he’s missed in his career.
Crosby has excelled against the Broncos in the past and is hopeful to return in Week 5. However, if the Raiders are without both Adams and Crosby at Empower Field at Mile High, it would strongly tilt the game in Denver’s favor. While Crosby’s status remains uncertain, Russini’s report suggests the Broncos can expect Adams to be absent from the Raiders’ lineup.
Broncos fans are eager to end the Raiders’ eight-game winning streak against Denver. After enduring Kansas City’s 16-game streak, being dominated by a struggling Raiders team has been especially frustrating. This could be the opportunity for the 2-2 Broncos to finally break the streak.
