Titans Wide Receiver Treylon Burks Undergoes Surgery for Partially Torn ACL
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan revealed Wednesday that wide receiver Treylon Burks, who has been on injured reserve since mid-October due to a knee injury, recently underwent surgery to repair a partially torn ACL.
“It was a partially torn ACL that required specialist evaluation,” Callahan explained. “There was a delay of a few weeks after he went on IR before it was determined that surgery was necessary. The procedure took place a couple of weeks ago.”
Burks sustained the injury during practice following the Titans’ Oct. 13 loss to Indianapolis and was officially placed on injured reserve on Oct. 19.
The 2022 first-round draft pick has dealt with a series of injuries throughout his career. He suffered concussions in 2022 against Philadelphia and in 2023 against Pittsburgh. Over his first two seasons, Burks missed six games each year and appeared in just five games this season before his stint on injured reserve.
Burks ended the 2024 season with four catches for 34 yards. In his three-year NFL career, he has totaled 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown.
The Titans (3-9) are set to host Jacksonville (2-10) on Sunday.
Practice Window Opened
The Titans have opened the three-week practice window for offensive tackle Jaelyn Duncan to return from injured reserve. Duncan, who started two games this season, injured his hamstring during the Oct. 20 game against Buffalo, exiting after just four snaps. He was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 26.
