Rabbi Matondo has revealed he’s had a heart-to-heart with Philippe Clement over his immediate future at Ibrox.
The Welsh winger has endured a stop-start time at Rangers since his arrival from Schalke in July 2022, making just 17 starts. Matondo, 23, did show glimpses of his ability earlier this season before missing the best part of three months with a knee injury. But Clement sees potential in the one-time £11million attacker and Matondo hopes he can finally kickstart his career in Glasgow.
He said: “The manager has always been straightforward with me on what I need to do, what I need to work on, what I’m good at and what I can get better at. Obviously one of them was being consistent with my shooting and positioning but overall we had a positive chat to help me for the second half of the season and in my career, to improve on certain aspects of my game.
