Marvin Lewis, a former head coach of the Bengals, “expected” to join the coaching staff of the Las Vegas Raiders
Cincinnati — It is “expected” that Marvin Lewis, the former head coach of the Bengals, will formally rejoin the NFL in the upcoming season as a member of Antonio Pierce’s new coaching staff with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Tom Pelissero broke the story because Lewis had been helping Pierce as an unidentified assistant coach since the previous season, when Pierce took over as interim coach.
From 2003 to 2018, Lewis served as the Bengals’ head coach. During that time, the team made five straight (seven total) playoff appearances. If Lewis signs with the Raiders, he will play in Cincinnati against the Bengals the following season.
