Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson filed a lawsuit last October to get back the over $150,000 he claims he lost to stolen jewels during a gunpoint robbery at a Hollywood hotel.
Robinson filed a lawsuit last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court against HLAND LLC, claiming carelessness and culpability for an alleged early-morning incident on October 20 at the Lexen Hotel Hollywood Walk of Fame location (2018 N. Highland Ave.).
The complaint states that while a companion was checking them into the hotel, Robinson was unloading his items from a truck. According to the lawsuit, the eight-year NFL veteran went inside the hotel via a side entry and fled into the lobby upon hearing footsteps behind him.
There, two “armed and unidentified” males allegedly approached Robinson, according to the lawsuit.
“By aiming firearms at Plaintiff’s body and head and brandishing them, the Armed Assailants endangered Plaintiff physically.
According to the complaint, “The Armed Assailants threatened to murder Plaintiff.” “Valuable jewelry that Plaintiff had on his person at the time was stolen by the Armed Assailants.”
A diamond watch and two diamond chains were among the things taken, the lawsuit stated. According to the lawsuit, a police report was made.
The Los Angeles Police Department informed The Times that on October 20 at around 12:40 a.m., there was an armed robbery in the 2000 block of North Highland Avenue, and that two thieves demanding the victim’s belongings were carrying handguns.
This was recognized as jewelry.
The victim—whose identity the LAPD withheld—complied, and the robbers took off in a black SUV. Afterwards, one suspect was located, taken into custody, and given a felony charge. The other individual is still unidentified and outstanding.
In 2023, Robinson made his debut with the Rams and finished with 26 receptions for 371 yards and four touchdowns.
