Daniel Farke’s intentions for the remainder of the season have undoubtedly been damaged by Leeds United’s attempts to sign two targets in late January.

The Whites have not yet signed a player for Farke in January, even if his choices at the back have decreased. At the start of the season, the team made the decision to terminate Djed Spence’s loan, and Luke Ayling spent the rest of the season with Middlesbrough.

Leo Hjelde, another defender, completed his permanent move to Sunderland, giving Farke the following choices for full-backs: Archie Gray, Sam Byram, Jamie Shackleton, and Junior Firpo.

That might be about to change, though, as Burnley’s Connor Roberts is very close to joining his teammates Dan James, Ethan Ampadu, and Joe Rodon from Wales for a short stint at Elland Road.

But before the 11 p.m. deadline, Leeds also appears to desire a center-back reinforcement, as stated by Fabrizio Romano:

“Obviously, Leeds needs a center back. There, they are searching for a chance. Although the name is yet undetermined, Leeds is still making an effort and searching for success there.

Chris Mepham of Bournemouth, Joe Worrall of Nottingham Forest, Harry Souttar of Leicester City, and Ben Godfrey of Everton have all been strongly connected to rival Rodon, along with Pascal Struijk, Liam Cooper, and Charlie Cresswell in the back.but it looks as if a move for one is now off the cards completely.
