Is there a possibility that the Jets could recruit the contentious Patriots lineman Trent Brown during the free agency period?

Following a season where the offensive line, alongside the quarterback position, emerged as a glaring weakness, the New York Jets may prioritize investing in the trenches.

Despite holding the No. 10 overall pick in the NFL Draft, which should afford them the opportunity to acquire one of the premier offensive line prospects, they may also seek reinforcements through free agency.

A potential veteran target for the Jets is Trent Brown, the current left tackle for the New England Patriots. Despite a season marred by injuries, Brown is anticipated to be among the top tackles available during the offseason and is already being forecasted by Bleacher Report to switch allegiances within the AFC East.

“Bleacher Report asserts that the New York Jets must take assertive measures to address their offensive line issues,” reads their prediction regarding Brown’s potential move to the Jets. “While their current salary cap situation appears unfavorable, Over The Cap estimates that they could potentially free up around $45.4 million in cap space, providing them with the means to extend a compelling offer to Brown.”
