The largest gift commitment in school history will help fund renovations to Memorial Stadium.

The largest gift promise in Mizzou Athletics’ history was made public on Monday. The $62 million donation will go toward Memorial Stadium upgrades, among other things.

The anonymous contribution includes $50 million designated for stadium upgrades for Mizzou Football, such as renovations to the North Concourse and other unnamed projects. The Tiger Fund, an initiative under the Tiger Scholarship Fund, will receive the remaining $12 million.

Athletic Director Desiree Reed-Francois stated in a statement, “This extraordinary commitment is a major step toward fulfilling our vision to transform Memorial Stadium and create the best college football game-day atmosphere in the country.” Without our benefactor, whose unwavering humility, faith, generosity, and enthusiasm for Mizzou’s success would not have been conceivable, our important stadium project would not be feasible.

“Our donor’s extraordinary contribution will not only enhance those magical experiences at Memorial Stadium but will greatly impact our student-athletes across every sport as they pursue their dreams as Tigers.” “Mizzou Football fans displayed their passion last season with five consecutive home sellouts.”

The $30 million contribution that Mizzou Athletics received in 2012 was the previous record donation, more than twice as large as the $62 million pledge. The Kansas City Sports Trust made that grant.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz stated, “A gift of this kind speaks to the tremendous loyalty this particular donor has for not only our football program but for all of our student-athletes at Mizzou.” Our objective is to provide the best possible game-day experience. Thanks to this donation, we can now improve the environment and fan facilities at Faurot Field and make great progress. And for years to come, we’ll be able to observe its long-term effects. As I’ve already stated, “Why Stop Now?”
