An Eagles player makes a bold forecast concerning Jason Kelce.
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has not yet officially announced his intentions for the 2024 season, but according to one of his teammates, it seems likely that he has played his final NFL game.
Eagles offensive lineman Jordan Mailata is of the opinion that Kelce is hanging up his boots, citing his behavior since the conclusion of the Eagles’ season as indicative of his retirement plans.
“There’s no chance!” Mailata asserted to NBC Sports Philadelphia ahead of the Super Bowl. “You’re telling me he’s out there shirtless at games, hitting the casinos, and then he’s coming back? No way. He’s clearly enjoying himself too much. I’ll definitely miss him.”
Kelce has been notably visible during the playoffs, attending his brother Travis’ games. Initial reports hinted at his retirement following the Eagles’ playoff exit, but Kelce refuted those claims, stating that he intends to take his time before deciding. Nevertheless, the majority of his actions suggest that he won’t be returning for the 2024 season.
While there’s still a possibility that Kelce might reconsider, if he does retire, he’ll do so as one of the most celebrated offensive linemen in Eagles history, having been a pivotal part of a Super Bowl-winning team.
