Cole Cubelic describes Chris Brazzell as a “home run” acquisition for Tennessee.
Tennessee recognized the necessity of bolstering their wide receiver corps through the transfer portal, especially after a lackluster season and the departure of Ramel Keyton. Head coach Josh Heupel and his team turned to the transfer portal to fill the void and found Chris Brazzell, a wide receiver transferring from Tulane.
Brazzell, who boasted impressive stats of 44 catches for 771 yards and five touchdowns during his freshman year with Tulane, earned recognition as a Freshman All-American before entering the portal. Tennessee promptly pursued the 6-foot-5, 195-pound receiver and successfully recruited him.
On his radio show, “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning,” SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic discussed the significance of Brazzell’s addition to Tennessee’s roster. Cubelic highlighted Brazzell’s potential impact, citing his athleticism, route-running ability, and surprising agility despite his stature. Cubelic expressed optimism that Tennessee might have found a game-changer in Brazzell, given his size and skill set, suggesting that the move could be a significant win for the team.
