Darrell Johnson secures an invitation to UA and plans to tour Tennessee.
Under Armour recently hosted a prospect camp at Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia, the former stomping ground of Volunteers corner commit Shamar Arnoux and current USC commit Julian Lewis. The event drew numerous high-caliber prospects vying for invitations to the Under Armour All-American Game.
Among the attendees was Dodge County High School linebacker Darrell Johnson, who earned an invite to the prestigious event. According to On3’s Matt Ray, Johnson is scheduled to visit Tennessee in the spring. He is ranked as the 63rd prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Johnson impressed at the camp, emerging as one of the standout players. Notably, the Volunteers had several 2024 signees participate in last year’s Under Armour All-American Game, including Kaleb Beasley, Edrees Farooq, Mike Matthews, Peyton Lewis, and Jordan Ross.
As of November 28th, 2023, Johnson is Crystal Balled to Florida State by Florida State insider Zach Blostein from Noles247. Tennessee’s influence on Johnson’s recruitment may be impacted by linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary’s departure for the Michigan job. With spring ball approaching, the Volunteers are poised to make a significant push in Johnson’s recruitment.
