Is the Cowboys’ Defense Concerning Us Now? – Shane Taylor, Inside the Star

Did the Cowboys raise more questions than they did answers regarding the composition of the team despite their thrilling victory over the Seattle Seahawks?

The Cowboys play four games against winning teams in the upcoming schedule. Despite having a.500 record, the Bills’ offense is on par with the others. When there is no pressure applied, the defense appears disoriented in coverage, and they require assistance when teams use motion.

Seattle played more aggressively, going all out on offense, knowing that this game would determine whether or not they made the playoffs. When it comes to the postseason, the Cowboys will witness the finest of the best.

There is cause for concern if they allow teams that will play in January to score 35 points a game. Since the 49ers game, Dak Prescott has been playing some of the best football of his career and most likely the best of anyone in the league.

Time will tell.

As mentioned, over the course of these four games—two at home and two away—we will learn a lot about this team. Their victory over Seattle on Thursday gave them a good start, but if they can defeat the Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, and Lions three times in a row, people will begin to believe they have a genuine shot at winning the Super Bowl.

Although I’m not giving up on the defense just yet, claiming they are elite is ineffective. They are having trouble against teams that can move the ball down the field and have winning records. They still struggle with penalties, which will hurt them in key games.
