The Orioles (1-1) broke the deadlock in the top of the seventh inning. Enrique Bradfield’s soft liner up the middle led to shortstop Sergio Alcántara overthrowing first baseman Joe Perez, resulting in Coby Mayo scoring on the play, deemed a base hit and an error.

Baltimore added an insurance run in the top of the ninth courtesy of Maverick Handley’s RBI single to left field off Brady Feigl. Matt Gorski thwarted Handley’s attempt to stretch a single into a double by throwing him out.
