Giants players talk about Tommy DeVito and Tyrod Taylor’s differences.

Tyrod Taylor, the quarterback for the New York Giants, was placed back on injured reserve (IR) on Monday. It is anticipated that he will play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14.

That puts Brian Daboll, the head coach, in a tricky situation.

Tommy DeVito has made three starts for the Giants, going 2-1, and the rookie is now the talk of the town. In addition to becoming a national celebrity, he gained his teammates’ respect and confidence.

Nevertheless, it is undeniable that the Giants have a greater chance of winning thanks to Taylor’s skill set. And that’s a credit to Taylor, not a criticism of DeVito.

What then should the Giants do? Although they are technically still in the running for the NFC Playoffs, should they sign Taylor—who is expected to leave via free agency this coming offseason—or DeVito—who could benefit from the additional NFL experience?

Daboll will have the backing of his players for any decision he makes.

“Clearly, Tyrod, the experienced individual. I believe he has spent thirteen years in the league. DeVito contributes juice and energy. Left tackle Andrew Thomas stated, “It works out for him that he’s still learning the game. Although those two men are not the same, we still have faith in them both. We will follow the coaches’ decisions without question, and regardless of who is back there, we will protect and block the same.

Despite the fact that not a single Giants player was willing to endorse Taylor or DeVito, it was evident that the former’s NFL background looms large.\

“DeVito is a rookie, while Tyrod has been in the league for about 12 years. Wide receiver Darius Slayton stated, “Tyrod knows a lot about the game and kind of more so like the way he carries himself. “As you progress in this league, everyone kind of has to learn how to carry themselves. For example, as a rookie, especially a quarterback in a leadership role, you have to kind of find your way.

“DeVito has done a fantastic job acclimating himself quickly, but a 12-year gap cannot be bridged. Tyrod has been in this league for a long time because he is a professional, and I believe DeVito has done an excellent job. We are fortunate to have both on our team.

Daboll’s choice at quarterback with five games left will be crucial. The Giants will be vying for a sneaky playoff spot if he selects Taylor. He is probably already thinking about next year if he selects DeVito.
