Bulldogs officially announce the signing of Zane Tetevano.
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce the acquisition of experienced forward Zane Tetevano.
The 33-year-old returns to the NRL on a one-year contract with the club, with General Manager of Football Phil Gould expressing his enthusiasm for Tetevano’s arrival at Belmore: “Zane is a highly respected senior player who will bring leadership and a strong work ethic to our team.”
Beginning his career with the Newcastle Knights, Tetevano moved from New Zealand as a teenager to join their development program. He made his NRL debut in 2011 with the Knights and later spent three seasons with the Roosters, contributing to their 2018 Grand Final victory. Afterward, he signed a two-year deal with Penrith before being released to join the Leeds Rhinos. Throughout his NRL career, Tetevano amassed over 120 appearances.
On the international stage, Tetevano has represented the Cook Islands on ten occasions and has earned three Test caps for New Zealand.
Released from Leeds last year due to medical reasons, Tetevano has since passed a fitness assessment to finalize his deal with Canterbury. The new addition commenced training with the Bulldogs squad earlier today.
