NEWS: Sky Blues and Evans for Everyone collaborate to offer complimentary menstrual hygiene products during matchdays.

Coventry City has joined forces with Evans for Everyone to offer complimentary sanitary products to Sky Blues supporters during home matchdays at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

This new initiative kicks off with tonight’s match against Rotherham United in celebration of International Women’s Day. Coventry City and Evans for Everyone have collaborated on this endeavor to tackle the issue of period poverty and accessibility, particularly at large events.

The sanitary items will be provided free of charge in all female and disabled toilets throughout the Coventry Building Society Arena. Working alongside Evans for Everyone, pads and tampons will be available from newly-installed stands in these facilities.

Evans for Everyone is a discount store with locations in Coventry and Birmingham, open to the public without membership requirements. They offer a wide range of products, including food essentials, snacks, drinks, homeware, cleaning supplies, and more.

The aim of this initiative is to ensure female fans feel confident attending matches, knowing that period products are readily available on-site. Additionally, it aims to address period poverty, which affects an estimated one in ten girls and young women in the UK who struggle to afford these essential items.

Jodie Jones, Head of Supporter Services and Fan Experience at Coventry City, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration with Evans for Everyone, highlighting the importance of supporting female fans in attending matches comfortably.

Sarah-Jane Evans, owner of Evans for Everyone, emphasized the significance of providing sanitary products free of charge, stressing that these items are necessities, not luxuries.

As a local, female-owned business, Evans for Everyone’s partnership with Coventry City Football Club on this initiative holds particular significance, demonstrating a commitment to supporting the community and promoting inclusivity.

Together, Coventry City and Evans for Everyone hope to make a positive impact by ensuring female fans have access to essential sanitary products during matchdays, enhancing their overall matchday experience.
