As Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers unfolded, the Bulls appeared to be in control, building a commanding 62-46 lead early in the third quarter, sparked by Ayo Dosunmu’s consecutive three-pointers. However, the Clippers rallied, ultimately securing a 112-102 victory, handing the Bulls a 3-1 record on their challenging road trip through the Western Conference.

Reflecting on the game, Bulls coach Billy Donovan acknowledged the team’s efforts in the face of adversity. He praised their competitiveness and resilience, noting the inevitable challenges of playing top teams on the road. Looking ahead, Donovan emphasized the need for mental and emotional readiness, with upcoming games against Dallas and Indiana.

Despite the loss, Donovan recognized the toll of the demanding schedule, exacerbated by injuries to key players such as Zach LaVine and Patrick Williams. He acknowledged the heavy workload placed on certain players, including surprising leaders in minutes played like Coby White and DeMar DeRozan.
