Undoubtedly, Luka Doncic has been dominating the NBA lately with a string of consecutive triple-doubles. Despite facing criticism from some quarters, Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd intervened to quiet a Detroit Pistons fan who disparaged Doncic.
In a recent game, the Mavericks convincingly defeated the Pistons 142-124, with Doncic spearheading the charge by scoring 39 points, securing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists. Kyrie Irving also contributed with 21 points and five assists in nearly 30 minutes of play.
Meanwhile, the Pistons were led by Cade Cunningham’s impressive performance, notching 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Jade Ivey added 17 points, albeit with six turnovers and three fouls.
This game marked Doncic’s sixth consecutive outing with a 30-point triple-double and his fifth consecutive game achieving a 35-point triple-double, both of which are NBA records.
Following the win, a Pistons fan took aim at Doncic by chanting derogatory remarks during the third quarter. However, Kidd responded calmly to the incident, stating that he did not hear the chants himself.
