The Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked No. 2 in the most recent CFP rankings.
In the most recent version of the College Football Playoff Rankings, the Ohio State Buckeyes did not move.
The Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines are about to square off in a big game on Saturday in Ann Arbor.
The most recent College Football Playoff rankings were revealed on Tuesday, ahead of that game, and the top five saw a significant change.
Regretfully, the Buckeyes did not participate in the modification, continuing to hold the second-place ranking behind the Georgia Bulldogs.
Rather than rising above the Buckeyes, the Washington Huskies replaced the Florida State Seminoles at No. 4 in the rankings. The Seminoles defeated Northern Alabama, while the Huskies recently defeated the Oregon State Beavers, who were ranked No. 11 at the time.
Jordan Travis, the Seminoles’ starting quarterback, suffered a horrific lower-body injury that ended his season.
But the Buckeyes will have an opportunity to return to the top of the rankings, and if they succeed, they’ll have a strong case to take that position.
The complete list of the most recent CFP rankings is as follows:
1. The Bulldogs of Georgia
2. The Buckeyes of Ohio State
3. The Michigan Wolverines
4. The Washington Huskies
5. The Seminoles of Florida State
6. Ducks from Oregon
7. The Longhorns of Texas
8. Crimson Tide of Alabama
