The Boston Celtics suffered a 113-96 loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday afternoon in Florida. On Sunday night in Massachusetts, they will make their way back home to host Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics announced prior to the game on Saturday that they had brought back Jordan Walsh from the G League in order to make room on the roster.

Walsh, an Arkansas native, was selected 38th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft. In 36 games during his one-season college basketball career, the 19-year-old averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals while shooting 43.3% from the field and 27.8% from three-point range.

Walsh has played in the G League for the Maine Celtics, but he has not yet made his NBA debut for the Celtics. In his 31 minutes of action in their most recent game, he finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and a shooting percentage of 5/11 from the field and 2/6 from three points. With a 12-4 record through 16 games, the Celtics hold the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

They have won seven of their last ten games, and on Tuesday night, they will host the Chicago Bulls and DeMar DeRozan following the Hawks. The Celtics have a 6-4 record in ten games away from home and a perfect 6-0 record in Boston. They were defeated by the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals the previous year.
