Jim Harbaugh Attacks Media For Ohio State-Michigan Hype
Harbaugh considers his players first and foremost. He considers what is best for the players in any remarks he makes regarding the status of college football. He believes that the players are not in a favorable environment because of the media.
“It seems highly contrived for the popular television program. The student-athletes’ health is not being affected.
Though it is a legendary rivalry, Harbaugh believes it has gone too far. The media paints it as a fiercely hated matchup that can create a hostile environment for some athletes. Fans are fervent and truly dislike the other team, and Harbaugh is concerned about his players playing in such a setting.
Is There Something About It?
Although I understand what Harbaugh is saying and think it’s great that he’s watching out for his players, this seems like a pointless debate. Are things being overhyped by the media? The media’s role is to do that. Naturally, FOX will present this matchup as intriguing. They desire that you view it! Speak with any Ohio State or Michigan supporter as well. There is unquestionably no affection for the opposition. Former athletes and coaches have expressed their opinions about the rivalry without holding back. The media is not the one producing it. The animosity surrounding the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry stems from many years of important games.
Although I believe Jim Harbaugh is a little off base here, he does have a point. Michigan is currently getting ready to play the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship.
