Ipswich Town’s 12-game winning streak was ended on Saturday when they fell 2-0 away to West Brom, led by Carlos Corberan.

West Brom defeated Ipswich Town at The Hawthorns on Saturday night, in a somewhat unexpected loss. The Second-placed team in the Championship was defeated 2-0 at home by the Baggies, who have been playing well lately.

Grady Diangana doubled West Brom’s lead with a neat finish shortly after the second half began, after Darnell Furlong had headed home an early header to put the home team ahead. It gave West Brom a fantastic victory and dealt the Tractor Boys a rare defeat.

In actuality, Corberan’s men were hardly touched by Ipswich Town. Kieran McKenna’s team had a rare off day as their key players had trouble entering the game. Among them was midfielder Sam Morsy, whose performance received a 5/10 from the EADT.

An opportunity to recover

The fact that McKenna and his Ipswich Town team won’t have to wait long to get back to winning ways will please them. On Wednesday night, Town will host Millwall at Portman Road with the goal of winning all three points.

Since the Tractor Boys were promoted from League One, they have had an incredible season, and a big part of their success has been midfield star Morsy. On Saturday night, when the Ipswich players weren’t quite at the races, West Brom was just the superior team.

Given his importance to the team, Morsy will undoubtedly aim for a prominent performance this week against Millwall.
