The Arizona Cardinals may not have their best three pass catchers available when the Pittsburgh Steelers play them.
Pittsburgh — In preparation for Week 13, the Pittsburgh Steelers are comparatively healthy and may even see the return of two starters to the defensive line. In the meantime, the Arizona Cardinals are missing several important players early in the week due to injuries.
Six players—including their top three receivers—as well as a few starters were listed on the Cardinals’ initial injury report.
Trey McBride, a tight end, and wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Michael Wilson are currently leading the Cardinals in receiving yards this season. Additionally, as they tend to injuries, Arizona keeps a close eye on these three well-known figures throughout the week.
Despite having a heel injury, Browns managed to play through it in Week 12 and end up with six receptions for 88 yards. “It’s one of those things that you just need to toughen up, and I was able to,” he said to AZCardinals.com.
Wilson didn’t practice last week and has missed several weeks due to a shoulder injury. He might miss one more game because the Cardinals have a bye week coming up in Week 14, which would keep the Steelers from receiving a third-round pick.
Up until this point, Wilson has been replaced by Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch.
McBride, who has a groin injury, is a recent addition to the injury list. The Cardinals would turn to Geoff Swaim and Elijah Higgins at tight end if he is unable to play.
At the moment, McBride is the second-leading receiver for the team.
