Jacksonville Jaguars’ toughest test in the second half of the 2023 season might come from the Baltimore Ravens.

Although the Baltimore Ravens are currently the NFL’s team to beat after a convincing victory over the Seattle Seahawks, the Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions. The Jacksonville Jaguars will have an opportunity to demonstrate their true abilities when they play the Ravens in Week 15.

These teams will play one another for the second time in as many years. Last year, the Jaguars won thanks to a successful two-point conversion by wide receiver Zay Jones with 14 seconds remaining, but Baltimore would have won if kicker Justin Tucker’s last-minute field goal had been successful.

Even though a win is a win no matter what, it’s crucial to remember that the Jaguars’ opponent from the previous season was Tyler Huntley rather than Lamar Jackson. They will also have to contend with a more improved Jackson this season, one who has improved under offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s tutelage.

When the Ravens made it apparent they wouldn’t meet Jackson’s salary demands, he asked for a trade and wanted a new contract extension. Ultimately, they gave in, and the MVP of 2019 obtained the deal he desired. Despite missing some organized team activities in his pursuit of a pay increase, it is impossible to tell from watching him play how he does. With just three interceptions in his career, Jackson is throwing for nine touchdowns on 71.5 percent of his passes, which is a career high.

Having said that, the Ravens defense is another issue the Jaguars must deal with. They are leading the NFL in touchdowns allowed at the moment. In Week 9, they were defeated handily by the Seattle Seahawks, giving up just three points.

Baltimore has a 7-2 record and the second-best playoff seed in the AFC going into Week 10. The Jaguars will not only have to stay on top of them in the coming weeks, but they will also have to play against them, and that will not be an easy feat to accomplish.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are equipped to defeat the Baltimore Ravens with their arsenal.

The Jaguars are up to the challenge, even though defeating the Ravens won’t be easy. Despite not being nearly as good, their defense still has a top 10 ranking in terms of points allowed. They also have the most takeaways in the league. Moreover, defensive ends Dawuane Smoot and DaVon Hamilton were just brought back. Even though Lamar Jackson and company will be tough to beat, they still have a chance.

Walker Little, an offensive lineman, is almost signed by the Jaguars. Little, who they recently acquired in exchange for Ezra Cleveland, will start at left guard, providing much-needed support to the offensive line. But, it’s also true that Jacksonville hasn’t been able to take advantage of its chances and has given up a lot of points in recent weeks. But during their BYE, they had plenty of time to address the problems that had been holding them back.

The Baltimore Ravens, who are seeking retribution for their defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the previous season, will be the most formidable opponent the team will face in the second half of the season.
