A Message for Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence from Browns Star Denzel Ward
Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback, received some good injury news on Thursday, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are getting ready to play the former first pick against the Cleveland Browns.
Lawrence sprained his high ankle during Monday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, making it unlikely that he would play against the Browns. Despite wearing a walking boot when he left the stadium, Lawrence returned to the field on Thursday.
Lawrence expressed gratitude that his injury was not more severe than he had anticipated while playing. “I will be out there if I can spend the majority of my time being myself.”
Denzel Ward, a cornerback for the Browns, respects Lawrence greatly and is aware that his team must be ready.
“I believe we’re getting ready for him to play. On Thursday, December 7, Ward stated, “He’s a great quarterback, great for that team, and their entire team brings a challenge to us. We just got to be ready to face that. “On the field, he can make any pass. possesses a powerful arm and moves through his progressions. Although there are playmakers on that side of the ball, he is simply a very good quarterback in this league who can complete every throw.
This season, Lawrence has passed for 3,004 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions on a career-high 67.9% of his passes.
Expected to return for the Browns is Denzel Ward
Due to a shoulder injury, Ward has missed the previous two games; however, he made a limited recovery at practice this week.
Feeling pleased. Simply thrilled to be with the team and among the guys, Ward remarked. That makes it the best part. I just enjoy the camaraderie and hanging out with my guys.
With Ward off the field, the Browns have dropped both of their games. Against Cleveland, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams both had success passing the ball, and Ward’s absence was apparent.
Ward remarked, “It was hard.” “We needed and wanted those victories, no doubt about it, but we also need to keep moving forward and figure out a way to win every week.”
Ward will be responsible for covering Jaguars receiver Calvin Ridley if he decides to make a comeback. This season, Ridley has 51 receptions for 689 yards and five touchdowns after missing the previous one due to a suspension.
“He’s a terrific route runner, has good hands, and can create opportunities for those guys,” Ward said. He will therefore pose a threat to us, but we are prepared to meet the challenge and take care of him.
Despite his injuries, Denzel Ward says he won’t alter his playing style.
Ward has made a name for himself as one of the league’s top cornerbacks. His challenge has been continuing to play. He has experienced several near-miss head injuries and has never played a full season.
Ward has no intention of altering anything in spite of that.
“I’m a corner that makes plays. I feel like I need this game and my team needs me. I adore spending time with this game. “Injuries are inevitable,” stated Ward. “And even if I do go outside, I’ll make sure to return as quickly as possible and continue playing the game unaffected. I believe that when I’m playing, I just try to do what I can to support my team, which is to play aggressively and quickly because that’s who I am.
Against the Jaguars, Ward and the Browns are home favorites by three points.
