Top Receiver in Razorback Uniform, Prepared for Unfinished Business
The final year of Andrew Armstrong’s eligibility arrives just as the wide receiver room begins to appear limited.
Arkansas’s FAYETTEVILLE Leading receiver Andrew Armstrong of 2023 said on Friday on Twitter (X) that he will return to Arkansas in 2024.
Following a successful debut season on the Hill, Armstrong is back. After coming from Texas A&M-Commerce, he quickly made himself at home and was quarterback KJ Jefferson’s go-to target, even when the passing game stalled. Armstrong hauled in 56 passes for 764 yards and five touchdowns by the end of the season. In terms of receiving yards, he was the only Razorback among the Top 30 in the SEC.
Since the transfer portal window opened, there have been two hits on the receiver room before the announcement. Sam Mbake left the team a while back, and Bryce Stephens declared yesterday that he would be using the portal.
Coach Sam Pittman is still waiting on decisions from Isaiah Sategna and Isaac TeSlaa, as Arkansas looks to complete its receiver room in 2024.
