What makes this season’s 49ers and Seahawks different?

Seattle — The NFL has not done the Seahawks any favors with this schedule, not only because of the difficult and frequent games, but also because of the short gap between rivalry matchups.

The 49ers defeated the Seahawks 31–13 at Lumen Field on Thanksgiving night. The Seahawks played a really poor first half of the game and then played well in the third quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overturn a 24-3 halftime deficit.

Why should 12s think the game will be different this time around given that the rematch is only two and a half weeks away and will take place on the road in the Bay Area?

First of all, as head coach Pete Carroll acknowledged, he wishes he had approached the game differently, it is not played after four days off.

“We played these guys a couple of weeks ago and I did not feel like I did a good job in the preparation in the short week with our team,” Carroll stated. “We need to return and have another fantastic week here so that we can play and do the things we want to do. Last week was a really good week. That’s my primary concern, and I know our guys are excited about it.

“Not everyone manages that well, and I wasn’t prepared for that.”

would receive the same kind of response that we have received over the years, but we were not successful. I apologize. There was a mistake I made.

“I believe a blend of both,” said linebacker Bobby Wagner. “I believe that we played a lot of games in a short period of time because we had some time off. Getting that sleep will undoubtedly be beneficial. Just taking a brief mental break will help you mentally reset and figure out how to move back into the W column.

What are the Seahawks watching now that the week is normal?

They undoubtedly watched the Eagles and 49ers games on Sunday since they are Seattle’s next two opponents, but more than that, it’s about showing the football community that this team is better than what we witnessed on Thanksgiving night.

After all, the playoffs are still reachable despite a current three-game losing streak and two incredibly difficult games remaining.
