Analyzing the final Week 14 injury report for the Saints and Panthers
Let’s dive straight into the Week 14 New Orleans Saints injury report as there is plenty to discuss. Just two players have been preemptively ruled out by the Saints for their matchup with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but nine more are doubtful to play, and at least three will be dealing with injuries.
Carolina isn’t in any better condition. Two of their own have been ruled out, and five more have been marked as questionable to play. In total, 28 distinct players were included in this week’s final injury report.

Who’s on board?
Center With a limited workload on Wednesday, Erik McCoy (shoulder) practiced extensively on Thursday and Friday, and he is anticipated to make his debut on Sunday.
Andrus Peat, a left tackle, was sidelined on Wednesday and Thursday due to a shoulder injury, but he fully recovered on Friday and is anticipated to play on Sunday.
Ryan Ramczyk, a right tackle, was also limited on Wednesday but was back to full practice on Thursday and Friday. He is anticipated to make his Sunday debut.
This week’s injury report included five Panthers players who are expected to play: safety Vonn Bell (shoulder), cornerback Jaycee Horn, safety Jeremy Chinn (quadricep), and right tackle Taylor Moton (knee). Cornerback Troy Hill (ankle) was also listed.
Who is out?
Isaiah Foskey, a rookie defensive end, is out due to a quadriceps injury that prevented him from practicing this week. He played against the Detroit Lions after missing two weeks due to an injury.
Additionally unable to practice this week due to an injured ankle, rookie running back Kendre Miller will not play. Due to hamstring and ankle problems, he will have missed six of his first thirteen games.
DeShawn Williams, a defensive end, suffered a knee injury, and Hayden Hurst, a tight end, suffered a concussion.
Who is eligible to participate?
Taysom Hill, the quarterback, is doubtful to play on Sunday due to injury to his left foot and hand. He did not practice this week.
Cameron Jordan, a defensive end (ankle), was upgraded to limited reps on Thursday and Friday after missing practice on Wednesday. It is doubtful if he will play on Sunday.
Chris Olave, a wide receiver, is doubtful to play on Sunday due to a thigh injury that kept him out of practice this week.
Derek Carr, the quarterback, was limited on Wednesday and Thursday due to a concussion, ribs, and shoulder, but he practiced fully on Friday. Although he passed the concussion protocol, it is uncertain if he will play on Sunday.
Juwan Johnson, a tight end, was limited all week due to a quadricep injury, and his availability for Sunday’s game is uncertain. Earlier this year, a calf injury kept him out of four games.
Pete Werner, a linebacker, was limited during the week due to an oblique injury and may not play on Sunday.
Kicker Blake Grupe is doubtful to play on Sunday despite participating fully in practice this week due to a right groin injury. Austin Seibert, his backup, was declared fit to play after being released from the practice squad.
Chris Olave, a wide receiver, is doubtful to play on Sunday after missing practice on Thursday and Friday due to illness. Despite his official designation, he is expected to play despite having the flu.
It wasn’t until Friday that rookie left guard Nick Saldiveri (shoulder) was included on the injury report as a full participant. Although he is dubious to play, he has missed the majority of the season due to injury.
