Aaron Jones is back in practice for the Packers-Giants game on Friday.

Darnell Savage and running back Aaron Jones resumed practice on Friday despite the absence of three starting Green Bay Packers players at the beginning of the session.

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin: Aaron Jones, the explosive veteran running back for the Green Bay Packers, practiced for the second day in a row on Friday, which gave fans hope that he might play again against the New York Giants on Monday night.

Jones has missed the last two games due to a knee injury he suffered on November 19 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Jones missed three games earlier in the season due to a hamstring injury.

“He’s recovering.” That’s encouraging, according to coach Matt LaFleur.

Jones claimed he participated in both group and individual drills but not 11-on-11. The last practice of the week on Saturday will be crucial, he predicted.

“I feel better,” he declared. “Merely being able to return to the field with my guys and continue to make progress will be beneficial going forward. Hopefully, I can participate in some team activities tomorrow.”

Three starters were not ready for action when practice got underway on Friday: left guard Elgton Jenkins (shoulder), receiver Christian Watson (hamstring), and linebacker Quay Walker (shoulder). Jenkins was limited on Thursday, but neither Walker nor Watson practiced. On Friday, he rode an exercise bike inside the Don Hutson Center during the start of practice.

According to LaFleur, the team was using its most accomplished blocker with “caution.”

Security After missing five games due to a calf injury and making a comeback against the Chiefs last week, Darnell Savage returned to practice on Thursday following a chest injury he suffered early in the game.

Jaire Alexander, the cornerback, returned to practice for the second day in a row after missing the previous four games due to a shoulder injury. But he also practiced all week long last week.

When asked which was worse, range of motion or pain, Alexander replied, “Really functionability.” Really, a tiny bit of everything.

In another indication that he is getting healthy for the stretch run, wide receiver Jayden Reed, who missed the first two practices last week but still played against the Chiefs, worked out for a second day in a row.

Even though Jones hasn’t played in the last two games for Green Bay, his return would boost the offense.

With 245 rushing yards and 19 receptions, Jones ranks second on the team. His 51-yard reception against Chicago in Week 1 is still the second-longest of the season for the team. Based on Sports Info Solutions, he is tied for 15th among backs with a 9 percent missed tackle rate.

The handoff breakdown for AJ Dillon, Patrick Taylor, and James Robinson—who is no longer with the team—has been 28 for Dillon, five for Taylor, and one for Robinson in the past two games without Jones. Three weeks ago, when Jones got hurt, Dillon had 46 carries, Taylor had five, Reed had five, Jones had four, Emanuel Wilson (on injured reserve) had three, and Robinson had one.

Regarding running backs coach Ben Sirmans, coach Matt LaFleur said, “Ben does a really good job of subbing in his backs.” “Unless I really want a specific person, I kind of give him the freedom to handle that, but he has a good feel for watching those guys and filling in, whether it’s P.T. or Robinson last week. Just keeping an eye on that position takes a lot, and he does a fantastic job at it.

The only addition to the Giants’ injury report from Thursday was tight end Daniel Bellinger, who was added due to illness.

tense conclusion With a hamstring injury, Darren Waller is still on injured reserve and should be back next week.
