Packers-Giants Inactives: Aaron Jones Among Four Starters Out

Packers' Potential Shocking Plans With Aaron Jones, Revealed | Yardbarker

The Green Bay Packers’ inactives for their game against the Giants on Monday night are Aaron Jones, Quay Walker, Christian Watson, and Jaire Alexander.

Three straight games have been won by the Green Bay Packers. They will need to defeat the New York Giants without four starters who are listed as inactive on Monday night in order to make the streak four.

Aaron Jones, a running back, will miss his sixth game of the season and his third straight due to a knee injury. Jones was hoping to play and took part in all three practices this week; however, they will give him an extra week to recover in time for the stretch run. His status on the injury report was dubious.

This week, veteran Kenyan Drake was added to the practice squad. He will serve as AJ Dillon and Patrick Taylor’s backup.

Due to a shoulder injury, linebacker Quay Walker, who recorded a game-high 13 tackles against the Chiefs the previous week, missed all of practice and was listed as doubtful on Saturday’s injury report. This season, the team’s top tackler will miss three games.

Isaiah McDuffie, who leads the team in tackles with 64, will take his place. He’ll be making his seventh start of the year.

Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich stated, “Obviously, you lose that explosive threat that he is anytime he’s not in the lineup.” “I believe it will be decided by committee. To set up some things down the field, we’ll need to rely a little bit more on the run.

Jaire Alexander, a cornerback, will miss his eighth game due to a shoulder injury, having missed the previous five. On Saturday’s injury report, he was listed as questionable; however, on Sunday, it was downgraded to out. The team’s goal, according to a source, is to win this game so he can return to the field to face the Buccaneers the following week.

Corey Ballentine, who astonishingly skipped two years of regular-season defense plays, is set to start for the fifth time in a row.

Ballentine stated, “I kind of know how it goes already because it’s happened before in my career where I’ve just been thrown in and I’ve been expected to play at a certain level.” I make an effort to be ready before I go so that nothing unexpected can happen to me and I’m ready for any scenario that may arise.

The Packers’ remaining players are Kyu Blu Kelly, a cornerback, and offensive tackle Caleb Jones. David Long, the newest addition to the cornerback room, is active in Kelly’s absence.

Cornerback Eric Stokes will not participate either as he was not activated off injured reserve.

Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence is back in the starting lineup for the Giants, while right tackle Evan Neal is out. Lawrence is scheduled to participate in what could be the night’s most significant matchup. Parris Campbell, a receiver/returner, is also out.
