Reports indicate that Kyle McCord, a former quarterback from Ohio State, is scheduled to visit Syracuse.
Kyle McCord is reportedly planning another college visit, this time to Syracuse, following his entry into the transfer portal on December 4.
Initially linked with Nebraska, where he reportedly visited Lincoln alongside former Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming, McCord is now said to be exploring other options. Reports suggest that McCord is shifting away from Nebraska due to their association with 2024 five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, a former Ohio State commit, as the early signing period approaches.
New Syracuse coach Fran Brown is expected to host McCord during the visit, which will also include multiple transfer portal targets, including former Texas A&M defensive end Fadil Diggs, according to 247Sports.
McCord, who has one season of eligibility remaining, had a notable stint as Ohio State’s starting quarterback. In his single season, he completed 65.8% of his 348 pass attempts, accumulating 3,170 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Despite leading the Buckeyes to an 11-1 record, including their third consecutive loss to rival Michigan, McCord decided to explore other opportunities through the transfer portal.
