Nebraska successfully recruits five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola previously committed to Georgia.

Five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola has officially made the much-anticipated decision to change his commitment. On Monday, he revealed that he has switched his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, putting an end to speculation surrounding the legacy recruit’s potential commitment flip.

As reported by 247Sports, Raiola’s decision elevates him to Nebraska’s all-time highest-rated commitment, surpassing notable names like Marlon Lucky, Chris Septak, Aaron Green, Baker Steinkuhler, and Ndamong Suh.

Dylan Raiola, the nephew of Nebraska’s current offensive line coach Donovan Raiola, holds a five-star ranking from three out of the four major recruiting services—247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. Both 247Sports and Rivals label him as the nation’s top quarterback and the second-best prospect overall, while ESPN ranks him as the eighth-best prospect in the country and the top signal caller.

Standing at 6 feet 2.5 inches and weighing 230 pounds, Raiola had previously committed to Ohio State during his recruitment before switching to Georgia earlier this year. The possibility of a commitment flip to Nebraska became evident last week, especially with the looming early signing period under coach Matt Rhule.

As the early signing period approaches with just two days left, Nebraska’s 2024 recruiting class now boasts 25 commitments, positioning it among the top 25 signing classes in the recruiting industry. Beyond Raiola, the standout commitments for the Huskers include Nebraska tight end Carter Nelson and Iowa offensive lineman Grant Brix, both recognized among the top 100 prospects nationwide.
