Four-star wide receiver and former Arkansas commit Courtney Crutchfield joins the Mizzou football team.
Mizzou has had a successful run of games in Arkansas. It improved a little on Tuesday.
In a live event at Pine Bluff High School, Courtney Crutchfield, a four-star wide receiver in the Class of 2024 and the No. 2 prospect in Arkansas, announced his commitment to play football for Missouri.
Along with Crutchfield’s high school teammate, athlete Austyn Dendy (No. 9), and linebacker Brian Huff (No. 5), the Tigers now have three of the top-10 recruits from their neighboring state.
In November, Mizzou basketball also signed Annor Boateng, the top-ranked Arkansas prospect overall. Missouri football finished its 10-2 regular season last month with a 48-14 victory over the Razorbacks.
Crutchfield is the second commitment in a 24-hour period and the 19th commitment to Missouri’s upcoming class. On Monday, offensive tackle Caleb Pyfrom, a native of Nebraska, committed to Mizzou.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver had previously committed to the Razorbacks, but on November 4 he reopened his recruitment. Though he had offers from Auburn and LSU as well, his choice ultimately came down to the Tigers and Arkansas.
Crutchfield spent the weekend in Missouri. He is the No. 12 wideout prospect and the 51st-ranked player in the country according to 247Sports.
Wednesday is National Signing Day early.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Tigers acquired Cayden Green, the top-ranked offensive tackle in the transfer portal, from Oklahoma, a future Southeastern Conference rival.
Prior to Crutchfield’s pledge, Missouri’s Class of 2024 held the 30th-place national ranking. That will increase as soon as the rankings are revised.
