A second Wests Tigers official departs from the team
Following the exits of Chairman Lee Hagipantelis and CEO Justin Pascoe, another front office employee of the Wests Tigers has left the organization.
According to Wide World of Sports, Mark Sawicki, the club’s chief financial officer (CFO), has departed. He leaves on his own terms, though, in contrast to Pascoe and Hagipantelis.
Sawicki, who has been a good operator for the club over the years, will join the St Geroge Illawarra Dragons because he will not have to travel as far to Tigertown and lives closer to the Wollongong area.
Legendary Balmain Tigers player Ben Elias responded to the news of a massive cleanout that saw the replacement of Pascoe and Hagipantelis by former NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell and former chief executive Shane Richardson of the Rabbitohs, Panthers, and Sharks.
This is huge, fantastic news. According to NCA Newswire, he stated that it was a necessary action.
Since there has been no progress for over ten years, action was required. They have behaved in an extremely cruel manner.
When you are in that situation, you have to make some serious decisions, and this was the right time to do it.
It ought to have taken place long ago. I have been stating for a while now that the joint needed to change.
In the event that you are unsuccessful, you must adjust until you achieve success. These are the steps they had to take after a very careful review.
