Summary of the Championship match: Leeds United dominates with a resounding 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town suffered their most significant defeat under Kieran McKenna, losing 4-0 to Leeds United in their last match before Christmas. The Blues were overwhelmed by the hosts’ attacking prowess at Elland Road, widening the gap to second place by seven points.

Leeds initiated counter-attacks early, with a lobbed ball pressuring Cameron Burgess into a mistake. Although the offside flag halted one move, Ipswich struggled to control possession. The home crowd roared when Leeds took an 8th-minute lead through Pascal Struijk, capitalizing on a corner delivered by Crysencio Summerville.

Despite occasional counter-threats from Ipswich, Leeds maintained dominance. In the 26th minute, a Summerville cross led to an own goal by Leif Davis, making it 2-0. Ipswich attempted a response, but their efforts were hampered.

Leeds increased their lead in the 45th minute as Summerville converted a penalty after a foul by Davis. Ipswich needed a strong start in the second half but nearly fell further behind. Eventually, Leeds extended the lead to 4-0 as Joel Piroe capitalized on a loose ball.

Leeds hit the crossbar in the 71st minute, and numerous substitutions disrupted the flow, leading to the match’s anticlimactic end as Ipswich acknowledged their defeat.
