Jaylen Warren achieves a historic milestone for the Steelers in the game against the Bengals.

PITTSBURGH — Jaylen Warren’s unconventional journey to becoming a significant contributor to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive lineup has propelled him into the ranks of the franchise’s most unexpected stars. In the Steelers’ 34-11 victory over the Bengals, Warren gained 54 yards on 13 touches, making him only the second player in team history to reach 1,000 yards from scrimmage in a single season. This achievement puts him in the company of Willie Parker, who accomplished this feat three times consecutively from 2005 to 2007, as reported by Alex Kazora of Steelers Depot.

Warren secured his position in Steelers history with his second-to-last play of the game—a four-yard run on third and three from the Bengals’ 21-yard line. This play set the stage for a 30-yard field goal by Chris Boswell, marking the final points of the game and pushing Warren’s total yards from scrimmage to 1,002 in the 2023 season.

Having joined the Steelers during the 2022 training camp, Warren immediately impressed coaches with his toughness and bursts of speed. In his rookie season, he amassed 593 total yards on just 105 touches. This season, Warren has significantly surpassed those numbers, accumulating 1,006 total yards and three touchdowns. Notably, he has assumed a more balanced role alongside former first-round pick Najee Harris.
