Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has reportedly enlisted the services of a new agent with extensive connections to the NFL, according to reports.

Reports over the weekend indicate that Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh has enlisted the services of long-time NFL agent Don Yee, suggesting a potential interest in making a return to the professional ranks. While Michigan has been engaged in contract extension negotiations with Harbaugh for several months, insiders anticipate a deal lasting over 10 years and potentially reaching a value of up to $125 million, contingent on his commitment to refrain from pursuing any other NFL opportunities.

The absence of Harbaugh’s signature on an agreement with the specified condition, coupled with his recent hiring of an agent with substantial NFL connections, raises speculation that the coach may be contemplating a departure from Michigan to re-enter the professional football arena.

The link between Yee and Harbaugh is further established through Tom Brady, the former Michigan quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion, who happens to be one of Yee’s most notable clients. Yee also represents Broncos head coach Sean Payton.

The news of Harbaugh securing Yee as his representative comes on the eve of Michigan, holding the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings, preparing to face Alabama in the Rose Bowl semifinal game, with a potential shot at the national championship on the line.

Jim Harbaugh, who previously held a 44-19-1 record as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, leading the team to three consecutive NFC Championship Games and one Super Bowl appearance, has built a strong coaching resume by orchestrating turnarounds at Stanford and, most recently, Michigan.
