Noah Rogers, 5-star wide receiver from Ohio State, joins the transfer portal.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are entering the offseason with an unusual sense of disappointment, and more players are indicating their unwillingness to stay and help overcome this feeling.
According to reports from On3 on Sunday night, freshman receiver Noah Rogers from Ohio State has entered the transfer portal before the New Year. Rogers, a highly-rated five-star recruit from Raleigh, N.C., was part of the Buckeyes’ 2023 recruiting class, as per On3’s rankings.
This season, Rogers did not record any offensive statistics, given the depth of talent in the Buckeyes’ receiving room, featuring players like Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka, Carnell Tate, Julian Fleming, and others.
Considering the arrival of highly touted 2024 receiver signees such as five-stars Jeremiah Smith and Mylan Graham, it seems possible that Rogers could face similar competition on the depth chart in the upcoming season.
Following the disappointing 14-3 loss to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl on Friday, the Buckeyes now shift their focus to what promises to be an intriguing offseason.
