Ryan Tannehill was the starting quarterback for the Tennessee Titans’ final game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to head coach Mike Vrabel. Tannehill wants to finish the season with a winning record after two losses in a row.

Nashville, Tennessee In the season finale on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, coach Mike Vrabel has selected Ryan Tannehill to start at quarterback. Tannehill may be playing in his final game of a five-year tenure with the Tennessee Titans. Nissan Stadium is open for business at noon CST.

“I worked here for five years of my life,” Tannehill said earlier this week to reporters. Many wonderful people. Being able to end it on a victory would be wonderful.

To support Tannehill will be Malik Willis. Future No. 1 quarterback for the Titans, rookie Will Levis, will be the third string quarterback.

Levis was a limited participant in practice this week as he healed from a foot injury he sustained during the Houston Texans’ 26-3 loss to the team last weekend.

After eight touchdowns, four interceptions, and 1,808 passing yards, Levis wraps up his rookie campaign.

After sustaining an ankle injury during a loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Tannehill, who was in the last year of a four-year, $118-million contract, gave up the starting job. Playing in nine games overall, he started seven of them, throwing for 1,448 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Tannehill told reporters he did not want to get sucked into the moment’s emotions even though he knew it might be his last game as a member of the team.

“Being able to play keeps me concentrated.” Tannehill, 35, remarked, “I am sure I would have a little more time if I was just kind of sitting around.”

“(But) I have the thoughts and I am aware that this might be it. I do not take the time to sit down and think back on the previous five years. When the time comes, I will undoubtedly take that action. But as of right now, I feel like if I gave that too much thought, I would not be ready to play and would be disappointing my teammates.

In addition, Vrabel announced on Friday that defensive end TK McClendon Jr. (shoulder), cornerbacks Anthony Kendall (knee), and receiver Colton Dowdell (knee) would not play in Sunday’s game.
