Kickoff Time and Date for Rams vs. Lions Wild Card Game Announced
The Los Angeles Rams have confirmed their NFL Super Wild Card Weekend opponent, the Detroit Lions, after securing the No. 6 seed in the NFC on Sunday.
In an effort to extend its season to the divisional round, Los Angeles will take on Detroit at 5:15 p.m. PT on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” the following week, according to the playoff schedule that was unveiled on Sunday night.
When the Rams and Lions play each other the following week, a lot is at stake. In addition to the obvious win-or-go-home scenario, there is a great deal of franchise momentum at stake in the wake of Detroit is first division title since 1993 and Los Angeles’ incredible comeback from a 3-6 start to the season.
Matthew Stafford will also be playing in his home city of Detroit, where he spent 12 seasons prior to being traded to the Rams in exchange for current Lions quarterback Jared Goff.
