Temple defensive back added by Tennessee via Transfer Portal
This cycle, Tennessee has acquired a third defensive back via the transfer portal.
The newest player on the Vols roster is Jalen McMurray, a cornerback from Temple.
He spent three seasons as an Owl and still has two years left to be eligible.
McMurray spent three seasons at Temple before emerging as a vital member of the Owls’ defense. He broke up four passes, recorded 24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and was named to the preseason All-AAC Third Team during his most recent redshirt sophomore campaign.
College Football News named him to the second team of the All-Freshman squad during his redshirt freshman campaign. It was the same year he forced two fumbles and made an interception.
He will now be joining Jakobe Thomas and Jermod McCoy as new secondary transfers.
