Raiders OL Completes Another Successful Season

After concluding the 2023–24 regular season with an 8–9 record, the Las Vegas Raiders now focus on the offseason. Even though they missed the playoffs for the second straight year, there were a few things the team can be happy about when they look back on the season. Under interim coach Antonio Pierce, the Raiders gave themselves a shot at the postseason in the second half of the season. The offensive line play of the Raiders was one aspect that remained constant for an additional season. Pro Football Focus ranked the Raiders’ offensive line as the eighth best in the NFL prior to Week 18, and they will probably finish in the top 10 in the final rankings, as they did at the end of 2022. The Raiders offensive line was formidable throughout the season despite the loss of key players. Left tackle Kolton Miller, who led the Raiders in 2023 and had the highest offensive PFF grade of 80.2, was the team’s leader. Miller took 705 snaps and gave up a total of 16 pressures. Miller was once again the Raiders’ best offensive lineman when he was on the field, despite missing four games due to a shoulder injury. It is a blessing that the Raiders have their franchise left tackle. Las Vegas Raiders offensive lineman Kolton Miller, a left tackle, led the team to an outstanding 2023 campaign. The USA TODAY Sports Kirby Lee The USA TODAY Sports Kirby Lee But Thayer Munford did a good job of stepping in for Miller at left tackle while he was out. Throughout Weeks 14–17, the Ohio State second-year player did not allow a sack. Guard Dylan Parham, in his second year, was the team player with the most snaps (1,042) in 2023, surpassing the 1,000-snap threshold in both of his career seasons. Parham was a reliable interior player, mostly as a guard but also occasionally at center. After signing with the Raiders in May, guard Greg Van Roten played a great role for the team, logging over 1,000 snaps while allowing just 21 total pressures. Since he will be a free agent, Las Vegas will need to determine if they wish to re-sign him. Football games are won and lost in the trenches, and the Raiders’ offensive line play made it possible for them to have success on offense. Their front five has now been a key component of their offense for two seasons running, and in 2024 they hope to make it three.
