The NCAA College Football franchise, once a yearly gaming essential, was discontinued in the summer of 2013 due to disputes over the usage of players’ names, images, and likenesses in the game. However, with the recent changes to the NIL (name, image, and likeness) rules in collegiate athletics, players can now receive compensation for the use of their NIL. This development prompted EA Sports to announce the game’s comeback in February 2021, and they have now officially confirmed the release date for July 12, 2024.
Given the beloved status of the game among fans and the prolonged absence of a new edition, anticipation is currently soaring.
