Mark Robins insists Callum O’Hare’s Coventry City contract situation is very much in the player’s hands now and that he will give the midfielder “space and time” to reach a decision on his future.

The club have offered the Sky Blues star a new deal, but so far the 25-year-old, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, has not signed, and the manager admits that he’s in a position to “explore” other options. That’s not to say the club have given up their attempt to keep O’Hare, with Robins refusing to “rule out” the possibility of him extending his stay at the CBS Arena.

Asked if there had been any developments on the contract situation, the City boss said: “We know where we are. Really, the ball would be in Callum’s court, there’s no doubt about it, so it’s not in the club’s court, it’s in Callum’s court.
