Following the Ravens game, the Seahawks will speak with Bobby Slowik, the offensive coordinator for the Texans.
Sunday’s interview is part of the Seattle Seahawks’ ongoing coaching search.
The Seahawks will conduct a virtual interview with Bobby Slowik, the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Texans’ unexpected postseason run came to an end Sunday when they were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens.
Several teams have apparently expressed interest in speaking with Slowik; according to reports, Atlanta, Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington have all asked to speak with the first-year offensive coordinator.
Slowik’s coaching reputation has improved and he has drawn attention due to his success this season with rookie quarterback sensation C.J. Stroud.
Since joining the Washington team in 2011 as a defensive assistant under Mike Shanahan and Kyle Shanahan, Slowik, 36, has worked as a coach in the National Football League. In 2017, he joined the 49ers as a defensive quality control coach. As an offensive assistant in 2019, he made the transition to offense.
Slowik began his coaching career under Kyle Shanahan, who in 2022 elevated him to the position of offensive passing game coordinator. When fellow 49ers coaching alumnus DeMeco Ryans took a job as head coach in Houston, Slowik accepted the role of offensive coordinator with the Texans.
