Terry Rozier, initially drafted by the Celtics in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft, played his first four NBA seasons with them.
In a recent development, the Miami Heat made a trade on Tuesday, sending point guard Kyle Lowry and a 2027 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in return for Rozier. Jaylen Brown, who was Rozier’s former teammate, expressed his approval of the trade from Miami’s point of view.
“I believe Terry Rozier is practically a Miami native, so this trade makes perfect sense,” stated Brown.
“I’m pleased for him as he seamlessly aligns with the culture the Heat embody.” In a rematch of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, Brown and the Celtics are set to play against Rozier and the Heat on Thursday night.
